Description

Using the Squid Sisters' amiibo applies all the cosmetic changes of a Splatfest to Inkopolis Plaza, and the player can choose what song they perform. This is the only way to see the accompanying dances for these songs, with the exception of City of Color, the default for Splatfests. Although mainly cheerful, Callie can occasionally get tired of Marie's sassiness and make cruel comments herself, which she is very prone to while brainwashed. This is seen when she "got personal" during the result announcement of the Early Bird vs. Night Owl Splatfest and the Naughty vs. Nice Splatfest where she asked Marie why she was the one on Team Naughty, in which she ends up getting frightened and says she never meant anything by it. During a Splatfest, any part of Marie's appearance that is normally green will change to match the color of her Splatfest Team, including the ends of her tentacles. It should be noted that none of the above bonus items are necessary to enjoy the game to its fullest, but they're fun perks and fashion accessories to enjoy if you happen to own any of the amiibo. The Octoling Octopus amiibo had neon pink ink like Inkling Girl 2 instead of reddish-pink ink like the other Octoling amiibo.

amiibo Detail - Nintendo

In the Japanese version of Splatoon 2, Callie's speech while she is brainwashed is entirely rendered in katakana, like DJ Octavio. In Japanese media, katakana is used to display a foreign language or an accent of some sort. This implies that Callie is speaking Octarian. After Marie hits Callie with her low-tide ink, she begins to regain her ability to speak normally. During the Inkopolis Live concert at Tokaigi 2018, Callie briefly speaks in katakana as a joke. [2] While brainwashed, Callie becomes ruthless and power-hungry and uses cruel jokes, even referring to her cousin Marie as "grandma". This is a reference to the final Splatfest announcement dialogue, where Callie said to Marie "You and your gray hair are going down, grandma!". During the Inkopolis News, when discussing weapon preferences for Moray Towers, Callie says, "Rollers are super effective here!" [4] This is a reference to the Pokémon games' type effectiveness system. For her second outfit, which was shown in promotional art for the Japanese Grasshopper vs. Ant Splatfest, Callie wore a red-orange yukata with a white jellyfish pattern and straw zōri sandals with purple thongs. She accessorized with a green shiso leaf with orange splotches on the left side of her head.

Following the end of the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2018 on 12 June 2018, it was confirmed that Octoling Girl, Octoling Boy, and Octoling Octopus amiibo would be released, based on the Octo Expansion. A month later, their release dates of 7 November 2018 in Japan and Europe, 9 November 2018 in Oceania, and 7 December 2018 in North America were confirmed.

In Splatoon 3, the Inkling Boy and Inkling Boy 2 amiibo again share the same dialogue and features, but the game differentiates between them. The rewards given by the original Inkling Boy amiibo are identical, minus the song. In the German Version of the Game, Callie's name "Aioli" is directly referencing the above-mentioned sauce, while Marie's name "Limone" is referencing lemon. For her second outfit, which was shown in promotional art for the Japanese Grasshopper vs. Ant Splatfest, Marie wore a white yukata with a seashell pattern in lime green, navy blue, and dull purple. The calamari accessory had taken on a dark purple tint in addition to its existing colors. On 17 August 2023, alongside the reveal of Drizzle Season 2023, Nintendo announced Shiver, Frye, and Big Man amiibo. They are due to be released on 17 November 2023. [1] Gameplay In Splatoon Like Hyrule Warriors, amiibo from the Splatoon franchise can be scanned in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild once a day to earn items, such as fish, flowers, and more.
