This leads to a sequence that could most generously be read as tying into that whole "love for the zest of life" theme but otherwise comes off as a trite development that only serves to trip some of the most basic storytelling flags in the genres that Crazy Food Truck has chosen to occupy by this point. It’s a little excessive, but does remind me a lot of other series in a bygone era, which is regrettable more than laudable. If you or anyone you know is suicidal or having suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a suicide prevention organization in your country. Well, it is exuberantly drawn, with comic effect, which is a kind of relief in the growing dystopian comics world. Series premieres in fall 2024 ― Toei Animation unveiled a new trailer for the Dragon Ball Daima anime series during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event on Sunday.

The titular food truck gets up to plenty of slaughter (of both the man, vehicular, and overlapping varieties) alongside someone flying a helicopter sideways to slice up bunches of dudes using the rotor blades. OK, well, some are probably not good for me because of allergies, but I like to think that if the option was there to go visit a book/manga/anime world that one also loses allergies. Maybe I've exaggerated a bit, it's not that eccentric, but it is definitely a really fun experience. One of my favorite shows of the fall 2023 season was the animated adaptation of INORI's light novel series, the latest in a string of isekai anime revolving around the concept of video game "villainess" characters redeeming themselves.I am interested to see more of the background on Gordon after the reveal in the last chapter (we’ll stay spoiler free). one, which feels even weirder considering the fact that Gordon is a late-middle aged man, and Arisa being no older than 21 with an even younger level of maturity. In particular, Arisa's head/body ratio seems to fluctuate more than it should, even accounting for comical chibi indulgences. It does at least have the decency to cut loose with all the kinds of "crazy" action we've come to expect from the title, dialed up by the finale's onset of that "live fast, die young, leave a good-looking corpse" philosophy. But they can't keep driving their crazy food truck forever, with Gordon's past and Arisa's future both looking to catch up with them.

Gordon and Arisa’s relationship is the heart of the book and the way the two play off one another is really charming. The two travel together, with Gordon whipping up spectacular dishes and Arisa putting them away just as fast. Of, and the chef, a Man With a History, finds a laboratory manufactured woman in the middle of the desert and together they do crazy stuff. In a World… where most of the land has been turned into a vast desert by an apocalypse in the distant past, a lone food truck drives along from town to town.If you're after a manga with below average writing, very average art and a whole lot of a naked minor hanging out with an old man, then this is the manga for you. After successfully rescuing Arisa from the Principality of Towata, it's time for her and Gordon to get back on the road. But Arisa is wanted by Vald, a shadowy military organization, and they will stop at nothing to capture her! This series could’ve evolved into something bigger, as it had an interesting post-apocalyptic setting, two likable main characters, and an interesting cast of antagonists, but I guess we’ll never know.

I guess they meant crazy because the food truck guy finds a naked girl in a freezer like container because that has never happened… oh wait Outlaw Star that was a main plot and lots of other manga have found a young naked female character in a box. Arisa's love for food is the vital core, itself a representation of loving life, enjoying that most basic of survival necessities with a zeal for its flavor. There's a good amount of absurdity to keep you second-guessing, and asking "How will they get through this? Chiefly, it's very suddenly made apparent late in the volume that Gordon and Arisa's growing relationship was seemingly intended to be read as romantic. At Anime NYC 2023, Anime News Network had the opportunity to sit down with the voice actor Kazuki Ura, the voice of BLUELOCK's main protagonist Isagi, and Ryoya Arisawa, the producer of the hit sports anime BLUELOCK.

Personally I don't really care that Arisa is naked all the time and her character altogether feels like a slap against women's faces, but at least Gordon doesn't sleaze on her. The only other women who show up exist to be sex slaves in the tackiest chapter, just so we can know how evil and gross the villain in that piece is, which might reflect the apocalypse and all, but is still pretty crass. Without question, this is one of the most shonen titles to have ever shonened and it feels like a total throwback story in a way that I mostly mean as a compliment, minus some of its more questionable treatment of its female characters. The owner of a food truck in a post apocalyptic world nearly runs over a naked girl sleeping in the middle of the desert.
