Total: 44/50 It's a mini and should be reviewed as one, of course you aren't getting any minifig's, and the piece count is going to be low. I've been looking for these sets, and I had thought about doing a review when I got them, but you've taken care of it for me already.

Keepability [4] – It’s an X-wing – one of the most iconic Star Wars ships – so even with its small problems, makes it a very collectable set. This is where you will find any My Little Pony, Monster High, Barbie or Polly Pocket items that we may have in from time to time. That said, with Double VIP Points and a slew of LEGO Gifts with Purchase (GWPs) for May the 4th, it definitely feels like the appropriate time to pick the UCS X-Wing up if you don’t own the older version, and want to add the latest and greatest into your Ultimate Collectors Series collection. They absolutely nailed the proportions and shaping – while the tapering hexagonal shape of the narrow body does not translate to LEGO well, the designers have replicated it exceptionally.

I picked up the last three at my areas Target, and after opening up one of them and putting it together, I realized I can finally live my life's dream of putting it together in the bag. R2, meanwhile, is the same version that appeared in 75339 Death Star Trash Compactor, notably featuring printing on the back of the body!Melding LEGO and Technic in the most ingenious ways, the build is especially challenging but rewarding, especially when you see the functions in action! As for the nose itself, it gets a new redesign which is more rectangular than its predecessors, with some curved slopes on the side. This is the first LEGO X-wing in which the designers have successfully replicated the hexagonal shape of the bodywork, from the cockpit section down to the nose.

Hopefully the designers can find a remedy for it, but all these issues don’t feel great in a premium model like this. The box was complete with all the decoration seen on the various 20th Anniversary Star Wars sets, a set number of 40519 (the event's date written in typical, local formatting) and the set name "World's Largest LEGO Star Wars Unboxing". The X-wing Starfighter is one of the most recognizable ships from the Star Wars universe, and is itself an icon of sci-fi and pop culture. These sets offer a concise building experience, making them suitable for quick builds or as collectible items for fans of the Star Wars universe. As a town/CITY collector this set gives me easy access to parts and color that I dont usually have or can't easily acquire.
