I wish more companies would make perfume like this: good, cheap, not trying too hard to be young or sexy-- especially since it seems like so many people's idea of "young and sexy" is actually "cheap, ditzy and smelling like a candy factory".

Sparkling White diamonds - this one is very different and I get what people mean now when they say it smells like a “freshly Washed and clean” fragrance. Vanilla, spices, amber, and a mix of light and somewhat powdery floral notes filled my nose (I think I can parse out the ylang-ylang, though I haven't smelled any of the other flowers separately, so it's hard for me to tell which ones stand out). I agree with the reviewer before me, Gambrina, that applying it to skin brings out the notes in this perfume much better than spraying just on clothes. My hair dresser and I were talking about her movies the other day and how we both loved them and I got to thinking why don't I see what others have said about her fragrances in this magazine. Its interesting out of the fragrant jewels it seems there is always one that reviews mention they absolutely don't prefer. Diamonds and Rubies derives texture from a powdery rose soap accord, almond, and spice, whereas Hermès Rouge derives texture from iris.

The spice is very subtle in this scent with the soft rose, white flowers and then a creamy and powder dry down. Despite the long list of notes, I don't get much of anything more than perhaps vanilla in this scent. The opening note lasted several hours, slowly but linearly transforming in to a creamy powdery base, too milky and creamy for me - I like a ‘dry’ powder, lots of benzoin. With the cinnamon and roses, this is a fairly elegant perfume - (although I could see wearing this as your signature if you are someone who likes that type of vibe). It seems to have a little of everything: a ripe peach at the beginning, going into powders and spices and jasmine and lions and tigers and bears oh my (OK, not really, but it's quite the hodgepodge). Surprisingly gourmand and not at all like the original White Diamonds, although they both share a retro/vintage flair. The only reason why it's kind of disappointing for me is because I sampled this hoping it would be a rose dominant frag. If you've ever wondered what's a great scent to combine with the smell of french fries it's Passion apparently. Even if I didn't know this perfume was created by her, I would have recognised her unmistakable style.

I wish they did, because they are interesting, affordable, and the sprayers and bottles are so wonderful. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy or reliability of the AI-generated pros and cons. I bought is because some relievers wrote that it's similar to Sun Moon Stars of Karl Lagerfeld but unfortunately it is far from it. For a few weeks now now I've been lusting over the Guerlain counter because they have a tester bottle of Nahema on display and I love it but can't quite justify the cost, so when I read on here that Diamonds and Rubies shared similar notes, it was a no-brainer. Brought to mind when me and me auld man were courting, deep, smooth, sensational, long lasting and big in sillage.I don’t need to add much to the descriptive reviews, I am just going to do a comparison to Nahema and Tentations. It was a gold box with a sparkling diamonds design on the outside and it was ingrained in my memory. Grojsman’s creation Lancôme Trésor shares a similar fuzziness, but I find Diamonds and Rubies to be much more comfortable to wear than Trésor.

I find it odd that it says on here first for main accords 'warm spicy' because for me it's predominantly floral. They dressed for themselves because they were comfortable in themselves, and that's what this perfume is about.Diamonds and Rubies is for a woman with some life experience under her belt, a woman with confidence and ability. Though I was 16 at the time wearing this, I do agree that it is quite mature of a perfume and reminds me of vintage clothing for an odd reason. I really think this should have gained as much popularity as White Diamonds, more people need to try this perfume. My argument is very much the same for all of the Diamonds (White, Emeralds and Sapphire), the parfums are the only real way to go and the only way they blossom. Try it on the skin after hot bath or shower and under the clothes to preserve the smell and it will blossom on you like it was intended to.
